As a great…

…kickoff to the Christmas season the kids decorated wreaths for their bedroom doors. It was fun, simple & well, fun. Even the Prince did it & seemed to be happy doing it.

Three guesses as to who did what. The pink & purple door as a clue? Well, I’ll let you think about it.
These really were sooo simple. I bought the wreaths & doodads when they were on sale @ the not so local craft stores. (I did have to travel about 1hr & 45min to reach these so called local stores!) After we got the goodies home, I plugged in my old trusty glue gun, cut the doodads off the floral stems & let the kids arrange to their hearts content. Then they carefully gave me their creations & I glued everything on. Simple & somewhat inexpensive (everything was 40 to 50% off) & yet this is something my kids can hang up from year to year. Plus I have enough leftovers from other projects of mine that if something falls off & gets lost we can replace it!
Merry Christmas & Happy Chanukah!
Happy Thanksgiving…

… friends, family & lurkers. In the interest of keeping it really real I just want to show you my turkey. In nearly 20 yrs of cooking these bad boys I’ve only twice had them do this.
So, can you tell that ole Tom here split in half while I was taking him out of the tray? Cracked me up. And yes, he is naked (skinless) since I don’t like the skin & I cut him up for the freezer.
Back to Thanksgiving. I’m so very thankful for my Husband
especially when he’s being a nut!
My son
who ended up having his Thanksgiving scout trip canceled & now gets to be w/ us all weekend.
My daughter
who was a beautiful Indian Princess w/ orange & black socks & slippers.
Our fun pets
Rex
And finally, Cricket, the bearded dragon
whom I truly DID NOT want but who has slowly been winning me over.
Also, I’m thankful for my parents, siblings & their spouses, 5 nieces, 6 nephews, my grandma, aunts, uncles & cousins, our friends & neighbors & of course, all of you.
Happy Thanksgiving.

… regulation game. Now we go into tournament play. (oh & the Prince is the one in the green shirt since he’s the goalie. His team is the gray/black team)
This game was lots of standing around for the Prince since he plays goalie & the game was more of a back & forth but not too much around the goal type of game. It was such an exciting & vibrant game. We lost but hey, there’s always tournament!
No, I’m not…

…(this!)
you might just remember that I have a cyst (okay, more than one, say maybe 3?) in my wrist & sometimes it hurts so bad that I can’t hardly move my hand. Well, for the past week & a half it’s been worse than ever. I went to a hand surgeon before who told me that he really couldn’t do anything beyond giving me a shot (steroid) in my hand & then having me wear that funky wrist brace. Didn’t work the first time so don’t see much sense in going back now.
Anyway, that long & winding tail was just to say that typing hurts & while I’m still around pecking things out one handed is tough. So let’s just say I’ll still visit but will not do a lot of commenting or writing on my blog for a bit longer.
